A Wellbeing Led Approach to Brand Building
What is a wellbeing led approach to brand building? It’s something I have created from blending my PR and marketing experience with my work in the field of psychology. When I work with my PR and visibility coaching clients, my focus is on helping them promote their business in a sustainable way. The resources in particular I am thinking about here are their energy, creativity and enthusiasm. This is the best way to build a brand whilst protecting and nurturing your mental health, not destroying it.
What does this mean in practice?
Brand Building is all about you
Of course, we are always focusing on what your target clients are doing, and where to find them. However, my approach to brand building is personality, strengths and skills-led. I don’t create similar strategies for everyone. Instead, we will do personality, behaviors and strengths tests to give me a clear idea of the type of approach that you are going to be able to keep up, six months, a year etc. down the line.
Healing may be needed
If there are any toxic experiences, or even traumas, that you’ve experienced that are impacting you now, we can deal with these. I occasionally see clients who have had bad experiences online and this is holding them back now. Similarly, inner critics, feelings of impostering, and straightforward confidence issues can manifest as perfectionism and procrastination. My plan is tailored to help you deal with these, gently stretching your comfort zone rather than sending you full pelt into everything new.
A strong dose of realism
I can’t suggest that you do more than you can actively fit into the time you put aside for marketing. That’s something we’ll need to address realistically, and I’ll build my plan aroud that accordingly.
Getting your needs met
The best way to ensure your visibility plan comes to being is to make sure it fulfils your emotional needs. These range from meaning and purpose to connection and community to a sense of achievement. Looking at each of your needs and making sure that they are looked after, is vital. We also look at those needs that may feel wobbly if you are putting yourself out there, like a need for control.

I don’t abandon you. We have follow up calls to help embed your brand building plan and support you in the nitty gritty of how to do as well as what to do.
It works
My years of experience in PR and marketing means that I’ve a good idea what works. So, with all this in mind, we will be creating a strategy that brings in results as soon as possible.
