What makes me a good therapist for business owners?
Like many of you, I’ve experienced the sheer exhilaration of having passion for a business I’ve built up from the ground. That business was my own PR and marketing company which I ran from 2002 until 2016.
I then had hundreds of business owners going through my PR mentoring programme, and two books published, Get Noticed and Do Your Own PR. I’ve spoken at conferences around the around the world, judged on entrepreneur awards and built a remarkable network of fascinating people.
However, I’ve also experienced the flipside of building a business. This included overworking, worrying and feeling the impact on both creativity and my energy. Like many of my clients, I’ve had toxic experiences with trolls and a brush with burnout.
Therapy for business owners
In the end, I decided to retrain into a psychological approach to help business owners and professionals. It took me a good few years of further training and honing my approach, but I became a business psychologist, with a Masters degree from UEL, trained as a coach with the ICF accredited Animus, and qualifed as a psychotherapist with The Human Givens Institute. Which means to say, you’re in safe hands.
I am committed to identifying practical tools and approaches that have been proven to be effective. I am fully insured, invest in my continuing professional development and have regular supervision.
