I’m a business psychologist and coach with over 20 years’ experience of running my own business, including 15 years as owner of a PR firm.
Even as a teenager I was fascinated by psychology and personality. I would devour books on intelligence, extroversion and introversion and make up Cosmo type quizzes to test my friends. Even though my path initially led to journalism and then PR, I eventually found my way back to psychology.
I decided to specialise in business psychology. Whereas most business psychologist work with corporates, I wanted to bring my knowledge to the smaller businesses and entrepreneurs who don’t usually have the opportunity to benefit from the wonderful world of business psychology and psychometric profiling. The result has been a rewarding practice, working with business owners and entrepreneurs who can put this insight into who they really are to work for their business.
I’ve had a great career: staring off with a local government magazine, moving into music PR and accunts like George Michael and Bananrama, my own restaurant PR company and then coaching and consulting with business owners on how they can rasise their visibility. However, psychology and psychometrics is the most rewarding and fascinating part of my career to date. I hope that I get chance to share my passion with you and show you all it can do for you and your business.
I am the founder of the membership club focused on confidence and assertiveness, The Bitch Network. I’m also the mother of three children, two of them now in their twenties, and two cats, Simba and Bamboo. In my spare time I love playing poker (it’s that psychology again) and am learning Bridge. I’m in a love affair with Italy and occasionally run retreats in beautiful Italian cities like Verona. I’m the author of two books, Do Your Own PR and Get Noticed, and a member of the advisory board for the women’s business club, www.sistersnog.com.
