18 Sep The Good Web Guide Awards, and Others
One way to go about PR is to enter as many awards as possible. It sounds a lot of work, but once you’ve done one you have a template you can then tweak for further entries.
One current competition is the The Good Web Guide Website of the Year Awards. Since they began in 2009, the Awards have been supported by celebrity entrepreneurs and tech experts including Sarah Beeny, Jamie Murray-Wells, Julie Meyer, Alison Cork and Kate Russell and the winning site will receive prizes worth over £7300.
There is often a cost for entering these competitions, and this one is £45 exc VAT per category. But do think of it as an investment.
They will be looking for sites that are original, engaging the visitor from the outset, whether it’s through a unique concept or a user experience that is second to none and The GWG will be tweeting about entries as they come in and giving a number of entrants the opportunity for a quickfire interview.
