10 Nov Monster PR Stunts and Events
One of my clients is holding a PR stunt/event this coming Thursday. It’s a great idea and as well as helping them to get all the coverage I can, I thought it would also be valuable to others to see how you can create something quite fun out of such a simple idea – people wearing slippers…
Warning: Monster Feet are being set Loose on Oxford Street this Thursday 15th November
This Thursday 15th November sees Oxford Street become the catwalk for three models who will be wearing little more than the new designs from the novelty slipper company http://www.monsterslippers.co.uk/. New designs the public will be able to spot include Oswald Owl, Roary Claw (a slipper that growls), and Silva Seal.
One Giant Step for Monster Kind
These intrepid models may be braving the cold (and the Christmas shoppers) but will they stay warm and toasty with their fun slippers – a true test if ever there was one?
Join in and make it a Monster Occasion
Members of the public are invited to come along, take pics and videos and upload them to be in with a chance of winning slippers for themselves and 5 friends or family members.*
Get Your Claws into some Goodies
The team at http://www.monsterslippers.co.uk/ will also be handing out vouchers for free delivery and money off … perfect for sorting out your Christmas shopping dilemmas.

Slipping Into Success
Monster Slippers was set up in 2004. When Dan Jennings and Davina Steel came across it, the business was selling a few novelty slippers made by other manufacturers. They bought the company in 2006 and began a massive overhaul, which included redesigning and making their own stock. One major rebrand later and the business has doubled its sales each year for the past three years.
Now, 6 years later, the family team comprising Dan, Davina and Joe despatch approximately 20,000 pairs of slippers each year 10,000 of them during the Christmas season, and export to almost every country in the world.
